Well, if you're here you're wanting to know a little more about me. Don't say I didn't warn you.
That's me above, circa 1998. Haven't really changed TOO much since then so that pic is still pretty accurate.
If you haven't figured it out from my name yet, yeah, I play the sax. I do a little classical, but am mainly into jazz. My favorite styles are blues and ballads (I'm sax player, it's mandatory). I've also been playing around with composition for a while.
I'm an animal lover currently owned by a ferret whom you met when you entered the site, and live with my sister's cat and my mom's dog. I've had hamsters, gerbils, frogs, and a snake in the past.
I've been a Star Wars fan for as long as I can remember. My first introduction to the X-wing series was playing the original disk version at my cousin's house.
I'm been a long-time member of the X-wing Community. I first showed up late in the year X-wing vs. TIE Fighter was released (around Christmas). My first-ever project was an attempt at the first scratch-built E-wing starfighter after finding numerous excellent, and some crap, kitbashes made from the X-wing. This was before the first version of ACE was even released.
Never could get the hang of texturing in ACE, and by the time stitching was integrated into the program, X-wing: Alliance was on the shelves. In the end, instead of the first scratch E-wing for XvT, my original model turned out not only the first scratch-build fighter for XWA, but the first scratch-build fighter to have the full set of three (the EXTERIOR, BASE and COCKPIT) OPT files.
This first E-wing is lost to community history now, but lives on in the drastically improved version done with the help of Darksaber.
Since that first E-wing I've had a hand in a number of projects, from a scratch-built Eclipse-class Star Destroyer and V-wing Airspeeder with transport released by dreddnott, the founding of the X-wing: Alliance Upgrade project, and concept work on a number of models used by the XWAU.
Among my longest-running projects is still the E-wing, where everything started for me. I'm in the midst of returning to those roots right now and hope soon to finish something I began a long time ago.
I'm also a bit of a writer, although nothing really professional. By far my biggest (really only) work is the FanFic First Unity (more commonly known by the title of the first part, Dark Alliance). Maybe one of these days I'll write something for real, and I've been kicking a few ideas around.
When I'm not working, writing, playing around in OPTech or Rhino, or at band rehearsals, I'm usually loitering around #flyingtemple on mIRC.
